Mexico City

Recently, I have met a new friend from my volunteer program. She’s from Mexico and she told me a lot of fun facts about Mexico which made me want to explore more. She told me Mexico City has the most museums in the Americas and there are many historical heritages I should visit. That made me really want to visit Mexico with different beautiful sceneries.

She told me there are a lot of Mexicans in Toronto and Mexican food is quite popular in Toronto as well. She took me to a place near by Kensington Market and we had Tacos. Tacos is a dish made with corn flour and there are a lot of varieties in there. Taco is a very common snacks in Mexico, most people eat it as snacks instead of meals. People can put whichever toppings they would like in the Taco. However, a traditional taco usually consist of meat, beans cilantros and onions.

Other than taco, I also had a drink with it . It is a colored and flavoured drink made with hibiscus. It taste quite sweet but she told me it is good with the hot weather. You will feel nice and cool afterwards. I had it and i did feel less thirsty afterwards. Chinese also made tea with hibiscus similar to this which made me think of how people in the olden days made these drinks to survive.
